JOEY'S PRO PICK / LAY - PINK CADDY / LT
Joey Williams finished 2022 ranked 7th in the world with $80,316. She placed in four out of 10 rounds at the NFBR in Las Vegas, winning the seventh round in a time of 1.9 seconds.
At the 2021 NFR Williams clocked the fastest time in two rounds - 1.7 and 1.8 - and shared fastest time in a third and won fifth place twice. Her two-day performance earned her fifth overall at the NFR prize money with $18,239 in prize money. She finished the year ranked 10th in the world.
In addition to her success at the NFR, 2021 also saw Joey named the year-end champion at the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit finals.
The national spotlight is nothing new for the Montana resident. In 2012, Williams (then Joey Painter) won the breakaway national college title in her junior year at Black Hills State University. In college, Williams was also named All Around Cowgirl in the Great Plains Region Inter-Collegiate Rodeo.
Joey and her husband, Taylor, are the proud parents of two sons, Landon and Carson, and daughter Shay.
We have worked with the top breakaway ropers in the country to design this breakaway rope! This rope is fast and smooth, a rope that does not have much drag in your hand, and has 5 strands. Developed with 2020 NFBR Champion Jordan Jo Hollabaugh, this rope is a nylon-poly blend with the EvoTech core, which provides the perfect weight. The 28-foot rope is the weapon of choice for 2021 NFBR Champion Sawyer Gilbert and 3X NFBR qualifier Joey Williams.
